According to FEE, Fördergesellschaft Erneuerbare Energien e. V., ReGaWatt GmbH is the leader in Germany with four plants for generating electricity and heat from wood that have been realized in Germany. Residual wood from forest management and landscape conservation can be used.
A new natural gas CHP unit supplies the electricity and heating requirements of the Landhotel Birkenhof in Neunburg vorm Wald. Gammel Engineering was commissioned with the integration of the CHP in this project.
The Osserhotel in Lohberg will save 60,000 liters of heating oil per year in future. The Fröling wood gasifier with an electrical output of 52 kW was commissioned at the end of 2014.
