Arcobräu in Moos, Lower Bavaria, has been brewing beer since 1567 - and has been doing so for several weeks now with a newly designed energy system. This is where Gammel Engineering realized its "Kombi Power System" concept, which uses wood gasification to provide electricity and heat for the brewery and the town center. SMP (Samvardhana Motherson Peguform) buys land in Schierling: construction of the new plant can begin after the contract is signed. Construction on the 70,000 square meter site begins in September. Gammel Engineering is planning the technical building equipment for the new SMP Plant II. The Mittelbayerische Zeitung reports.

General Chapter sets the course for the future: Sister M. Jakobe Schmid is the new Superior General of the Mallersdorf Sisters. Gammel Engineering has converted the Mallersdorf convent's energy supply to renewable energy. The heating system can be supplied entirely from the convent's own forest. The new biomass boiler has been supplying heat as planned since the end of January 2008.

No more clouds of smoke and no more drilling noises, and the "landmark" on site has also disappeared: According to Gothermische Kraftwerksgesellschaft Traunreut, the pump test of the second borehole at the geothermal construction site in Traunreut has also been successful. Gammel Engineering GmbH is planning the district heating, which will be supplied from geothermal energy.
