The Osserhotel in Lohberg will save 60,000 liters of heating oil per year in future. The Fröling wood gasifier with an electrical output of 52 kW was commissioned at the end of 2014.

The Osserhotel in the Bavarian Forest is completely self-sufficient in renewable energy. Gammel Engineering planned the integration of the CHP unit to cover the base load of the electricity and heating requirements.

The Bavarian Energy Prize was awarded on October 15, 2014. Gammel Engineering GmbH received the prize in the category "Systems/Process Technology; Product Development" for its "Combined Power System".

Last Wednesday saw the commissioning of the new industrial-grade wood gas cogeneration plant at the Osserhotel in Lohberg in the district of Cham.

The decision by the district of Nürnberger Land to convert the existing heat generation system at the Paul-Pfinzing-Gymnasium (PPG) from gas to district heating marks the start of a long-term partnership between the two companies and proves to be a further building block in the local energy transition.
