At the request of our team, we have once again organized a basic first aid course at our Abensberg headquarters. Anyone can very quickly find themselves in a first aid situation with their family or when out and about, and every second counts when it comes to saving lives.
The future of the energy-efficient provision of energy lies in the clever interplay between the combined supply of electricity, heat and cooling and the integration of other renewable generators. The ideal state of energy supply for companies is independence from fossil resources and thus from price fluctuations in energy procurement.
Great joy at the Brothers of Mercy Region Upper Palatinate, Reichenbach! Now it is certain: with our donation from the Christmas campaign, the long-awaited swing for wheelchair users can be purchased. The people in the Schwandorf support center will have one more great joy in the spring. Everyone in the Gammel Engineering family team is delighted, because our efforts provide so much fun and enjoyable hours. Let's go: let's be close to heaven!
... that's what we wish you for Easter! With this in mind, as is our tradition, Gudrun Gammel presented the children of our employees with a wonderful Easter surprise. And so, on these Easter days, we not only enjoy the rays of sunshine that spring brings, but also the radiance of our children, which is so good for our hearts. Happy Easter!
Last week, we handed over donations for the Cabrini House in Offenstetten - a facility run by the Catholic Youth Welfare Service in Regensburg. We have enjoyed a friendship with the people at Cabrini Haus for many years, which we are also supporting with our 2022 Christmas campaign (as we reported).
After 2 hard years of "carnival withdrawal", Abensberg is finally getting back into the carnival spirit. Naturally, things are a little more exuberant than usual at Gammel Engineering during these hours. And so we sweeten our employees' Carnival Thursday with carnival doughnuts!
The handover of the donation to the Association for the Promotion of Rare Diseases, headed by Prof. Dr. Mark Berneburg from Regensburg University Hospital, was a cause for celebration for the Gammel Engineering team. The MZ also reported on our innovative fundraising campaign - the direct involvement of our many business partners in the distribution of the Christmas budget was very important.
And once again we were able to bring joy to people with a special ordeal. Prof. Berneburg from the Association for the Promotion of Rare Diseases at Regensburg University Hospital visited us in Abensberg today. In a moving conversation, we talked about the orphans of medicine. We speak of rare diseases when there are no more than 5 affected persons/10,000 inhabitants. Over 4 million people in Germany suffer from a rare disease. On average, their ordeal lasts 7 years before the disease itself is even recognized. But even with a diagnosis, there is little help because research by the pharmaceutical industry is not profitable and is not publicly supported. Medical care is extremely difficult, especially in times like these. Networking and awareness, even within the medical profession, is unfortunately still very rudimentary.
The New Year's Eve powder vapor has been blown away by the wind and the discussion about the sense and nonsense of fireworks and firecrackers has once again been sat out by those responsible. Despite heavy media coverage, there has been no sustained reaction. The same game awaits us again at the end of the year. This means that now is the right time to take a critical look at the issue of emissions.
Our trainee Christina Triltsch got the team off to a perfect start in the new year 2023. On 23.01.2023, she passed her oral exam with flying colors after her written exam!
There was great joy on both sides when Managing Director Max Oblinger and authorized signatory Thomas Zweier were able to present Gammel Engineering GmbH with the donation from our Christmas campaign. We are innovative and have come up with something creative for Christmas: More than half of our customers and business partners took part in our Christmas voting and voted enthusiastically!
