2018 was the worst year in a long time for the so-called "energy transition" in Germany. All those who care about renewable and decentralized energy use agree on this. We are one of them, of course. That's why it's good that two fixed stars that rose in the energy sky near the turn of the year are spreading at least a little glimmer of hope.

Our traditional Christmas party took place on Wednesday, 19.12.2018 at our premises in Abensberg. Piccolo-Piccolo from Kelheim provided the catering.

The interested and committed members of the Abensberg Young Union visited us.

We enjoyed our Christmas party with our (married) partners to the full last Saturday at Forster's Posthotel in Donaustauf.

Tradition obliges: On Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, our annual duck dinner took place with the entire team.

The Gammel Engineering team also takes responsibility outside of its "core business". Just over a year ago, almost 20 employees took part in an in-house training course to become company first aiders for the first time.

Off to new taste horizons at a special "After Work"! On 22 November 2018, a whisky tasting organized by our sports manager Ertan Toker took place at our premises for interested employees. All the rarities and their distilleries were presented in detail by the participants. The tasting was carried out professionally by our specialists and documented in "tasting checklists". Everyone agreed: "We had a lot of fun and would love to do it again together!" Ertan is looking for an appointment....

When the German government announced its collective energy law in October, Michael Gammel still believed that everything would be fine: "Politicians now seem to be making another correction, albeit a minor one. Renewable energies are to be pushed more strongly again over the next few years. Of course, I hope that this will not be limited exclusively to wind power and photovoltaics, but that the other diverse topics for which we can take over the engineering will also be pushed forward." However, what was actually decided by the cabinet this week will have the complete opposite effect.

Exactly 20 years ago, Martin Zieglmeier had his first day at work in our company. It couldn't have been a better start to the week for our family business. As part of a small celebration, we looked back on the past 20 years and toasted to them. Martin took the opportunity to explain his very personal motivation for his commitment. The wide range of activities, the broad spectrum of project management - technology - customer support means that work never gets boring. The team spirit in the entire company team is probably unique - "one for all, all for one"! And without any rivalries or friction, which would only take the joy out of life. For Martin, this is the reason why he looks forward to every working day with his colleagues. There can be no greater praise for the managing directors and every single person in the company. Thank you, Martin!

Irony of fate: in the very week in which people are being dragged down from trees in Hambach Forest and forced to kneel on the ground like in Guantanamo, the film "Wackersdorf" is being shown in cinemas.

On 08.09.2018, our cycling enthusiasts once again set off on a mountain bike tour through the Altmühltal valley.

On Friday, 31.08.2018, we spent our annual company evening on the Gillmoos in Abensberg in the Kuchlbauer marquee as usual. The members of our team and their families had a great time and even the merry nightcap in the wine tent left nothing to be desired. Some of those returning home are said to have already seen the dawn, or just seen it...
