At the site of Kalkwerk Rygol GmbH & Co. KG in Painten, two micro gas turbines are being installed to support the operation of the drum dryer. The hot gas generator was redesigned, constructed and commissioned for production in order to be able to optimally feed the flue gases into the process. BMW AG is expanding the aluminum foundry facilities at the Landshut site. Depending on the operating conditions, around 2.0 to 4.0 MW_th of waste heat is generated from the melting furnaces.
