At the site of Kalkwerk Rygol GmbH & Co. KG in Painten, two micro gas turbines are being installed to support the operation of the drum dryer. The exhaust gases from the gas turbines are used directly in a drying process. The hot gas generator was redesigned, constructed and commissioned for production in order to be able to optimally feed the flue gases into the process. In addition, the plant's gas connection was renewed and adapted to the required pressure of the gas turbines so that the gas compressor for the gas turbines could be dispensed with. BMW AG is expanding the aluminum foundry facilities at the Landshut site. Depending on the operating conditions, around 2.0 to 4.0 MW<sub>th</sub> of waste heat is generated from the melting furnaces.
