Blessing and Dedication Ceremony for the New Residence of the Brothers of Mercy in Taufkirchen
On July 6, 2026, a new residential building operated by the Barmherzige Brüder’ disability services was inaugurated at Rosenstraße 25 in Taufkirchen.
Twenty-four people with disabilities have found a new home in the building.
The building offers 1,693 square meters of living space and includes twelve wheelchair-accessible residential units. The living spaces are complemented by small lounge areas within the individual units as well as a large common room.
Planning for the inclusive housing project began in 2018, the groundbreaking took place in November 2023, and the first residents moved in in September 2025.
With this new residential building, a place has been created in a central location that supports participation, independence, and community life in everyday life.
The dedication was accompanied by a blessing ceremony featuring musical performances.
We thank those in charge and the organizers of the inauguration for the successful event and the opportunity to witness this special occasion.

Today we had the pleasure of attending the flag dedication ceremony for the Sandsbach Volunteer Fire Department.
Special congratulations go to our colleague Anita, who has taken on the honorary role of flag mother with great passion—we’re proud of you!
