Topping-out ceremony for the new building housing a residential community for adults with disabilities in Rohr
The Catholic Youth Welfare Service (KJF) is building a shared living facility in Rohr i. NB with four residential units for a total of 24 adults with disabilities. And it’s not on the outskirts of town, but right in the heart of the town center. That is inclusion in action.
On October 29, 2026, we celebrated the topping-out ceremony in Rohr. Michael S. Gammel and Robert Göttfried were on site and were very pleased with the progress of the construction.
The building is heated by a carbon-neutral pellet heating system. Wood, as a renewable resource, helps protect the climate and demonstrates that the heating transition works exceptionally well even in rural areas. For tech enthusiasts: Pellets have a primary energy factor of 0.2, while oil and gas have a factor of 1.1. This means a significantly lower primary energy consumption per kilowatt-hour of heat.
We really enjoy working with the KJF. Planning projects together where technology and people come together is exactly our thing.
We believe this residential home is an outstanding project for inclusion, and we’re very happy to support it. Thanks to the KJF, the town of Rohr, and everyone who’s making this possible!

CONNECTA is Bavaria’s largest student-organized career fair and a place where the business community and the next generation of professionals can truly engage in dialogue. We were there again in 2026: On October 21 and 22, we showcased our company on the OTH Regensburg campus at the fair’s 30th edition.

Through the Gammel Family Social Fund, we aim to provide targeted assistance where support is urgently needed. The fund is made up of the proceeds from our internal Christmas party, where an auction is held among our employees every year. During our regular staff meetings, we then work together to gather suggestions for potential recipients—this way, we decide as a team where the donations will go.
