With the Gammel Family Social Fund, we want to provide targeted help where support is urgently needed. The fund consists of the proceeds from our internal Christmas party, at which an auction is held among our employees every year. In our regular staff meetings, we then collect suggestions for possible donation recipients together - this is how we decide as a team where the donations should go.
There was still €4,000 available from the current fund pot for 2025. Together, we decided to donate half of this - €2,000 - to the Friends of Cabrini House.
The Friends of Cabrini House was founded over 10 years ago and sees itself as a community of people who want to support the children, young people and adult residents of Cabrini House.
We were delighted to welcome Stefan Seehofer, General Manager of the Cabrini Center, to the house today to hand over the donation. Together with Gudrun Gammel and employees, the donation check was handed over. Mr. Seehofer expressed his sincere thanks for the support that the Cabrini Centre has been receiving for years - both institutionally and through the Gammel family's private commitment to their circle of friends.
One part of the donation will be used to enable a resident to take part in the school trip to Berlin - an experience that is of great importance to the young person. The remaining amount will be used for joint activities for the residents, such as going out to eat together, which everyone is always very happy about.
A big thank you to all our employees: Together, we show how much we can achieve - and we are very proud of that. 💛
Handover of donations from our Christmas fundraising campaign
Having already reported on the results of our Christmas donation campaign, we are now delighted that all three donations have now been handed over in person.
It was particularly important to us not only to hand over the donations symbolically, but also to visit the facilities on site and gain an insight into their valuable work.
