Compared to 2012, the economy in the district of Kelheim has grown by 10% - in the construction sector even by almost 25% - and is therefore well above the average for the Free State of Bavaria. A large part of this growth is due to medium-sized companies such as Gammel Engineering. This economic boom is creating more jobs in the district of Kelheim, especially more apprenticeships - this is not only important, but essential for the continued existence and success of our region's economy.

Michael Gammel points out that companies should also look outside Germany for new talent and conduct interviews with applicants abroad. However, the focus of all companies must be on healthy cooperation with schools in the region in order to be able to offer graduates enough suitable apprenticeships in the district of Kelheim.
