With deep sorrow and great respect, we bid farewell to an extraordinary and kind-hearted person who, with his loyal and confident demeanor, was always a role model for the entire company.
Healthy and motivated employees are the foundation of a successful company - especially in economically challenging times. The "Healthy companies in the district of Kelheim" network, in which nine regional companies have joined forces to establish company health management (BGM) not as a short-term measure, but as a sustainable and systematic process, follows precisely this claim.
The common goal: to promote the health, well-being and performance of employees in the long term. All company participants were recently awarded a joint certificate for their commitment and successful implementation - a strong sign of responsibility and future orientation.
BGM is much more than a fruit basket or individual health offers. It is a strategic task that sensibly combines work design, personnel development and workplace health promotion measures. This holistic interaction is the only way to create a sustainable overall concept that strengthens both the physical and mental health of employees.
Dr. Martin Simmel from the iGMS Institute puts it in a nutshell:
"The true value of systematic OHM is particularly evident in times of economic uncertainty or crisis. Increasing pressure, the stress of change and fears about the future put a strain on the workforce. A functioning OHM system helps to build resilience, strengthen cohesion and protect the health of employees."
The network impressively demonstrates how "systematic OHM" works. Through regular meetings and joint workshops, the participating companies benefit from mutual exchange - regardless of whether they are medium-sized service providers or larger industrial companies. The joint certification is not the end point, but rather a confirmation and an additional incentive to continue on the path they have chosen.
Gammel Engineering GmbH was also represented at the workshop and is actively involved in the "Healthy companies in the district of Kelheim" network. Our Health Officer Evi Wittmann took part in the exchange to gain new ideas and practical approaches for occupational health management at Gammel Engineering.
An investment in the future
The initiative makes it clear: occupational healthcare is not a cost factor, but a sustainable investment in the future viability of companies. Healthy, resilient and motivated employees are one of the most important resources, especially in challenging times. The network is already planning to expand its successful model to other interested companies - a strong signal for the region and beyond.
With deep sorrow and great respect, we bid farewell to an extraordinary and kind-hearted person who, with his loyal and confident demeanor, was always a role model for the entire company.
Today we celebrated a special anniversary: Florian Prantl has been with Gammel Engineering for 20 years. Over these two decades, technologies have changed, projects have evolved, and teams have been reorganized. One thing has remained constant: Florian Prantl is a reliable member of the Gammel Engineering team.
In 2026, Gammel Engineering was once again ready to head to the Gillamoos! Together with our partners, we kicked off the “fifth season” in Abensberg on Friday, as is our tradition.
