Michael Gammel is a typical example of a self-made man. He did not start his business 26 years ago in a garage, but together with his wife Gudrun "at the living room table", as he likes to say. Like many self-employed people, he has fulfilled a lifelong dream. "I love being an entrepreneur," he said last Monday at the first press conference after a meeting of the IHK committee under his chairmanship.
