Nutritional advice at GE: Impulses for more health in everyday life
Healthy nutrition is a crucial building block for well-being, performance and long-term health. That's why GE offered nutritional advice as part of its occupational health management (OHM) program, initiated by Evi Wittmann, who is responsible for OHM at the company.
The event followed on from last year's body measurement analysis and this time offered employees particularly high-quality advice: Stefanie Knöfler from the BENEfit health center was a guest, sharing her expertise on health-promoting nutrition with the participants.
The advice focused on an anti-inflammatory diet. This included foods and nutrients that can positively influence inflammatory processes in the body as well as important key substances for cartilage, bones and connective tissue. The right diet plays an important role for long-term health, especially in everyday working life - which for many people involves long periods of sitting, stress or physical exertion.
The individual approach of the consultation was particularly valuable. Stefanie Knöfler specifically addressed the needs and questions of the participants - for example on topics such as chronic pain, high blood pressure, lipometabolic disorders, depression or cardiovascular problems. The result was not a traditional lecture, but an open discussion with lots of practical ideas for everyday life.
Another important aspect: nutrition not only affects the individual person, but often the entire family environment. This is why partners were also invited to build up knowledge together and support each other in implementing a healthy diet in everyday life.
With this offer, GE is once again underlining the importance of employee health within the company. A conscious diet is a simple, risk-free and cost-free way to sustainably improve your own well-being - and this event aimed to provide motivating impetus for precisely that.
Many thanks to Evi Wittmann for organizing the event and Stefanie Knöfler for the practical insights and open exchange.

Handover of donations from our Christmas fundraising campaign
Having already reported on the results of our Christmas donation campaign, we are now delighted that all three donations have now been handed over in person.
It was particularly important to us not only to hand over the donations symbolically, but also to visit the facilities on site and gain an insight into their valuable work.
