With deep sorrow and great respect, we bid farewell to an extraordinary and kind-hearted person who, with his loyal and confident demeanor, was always a role model for the entire company.
Yesterday, the topping-out ceremony for the new Franziskus Inclusive Children’s Center was celebrated in Abensberg on the grounds of the St. Franziskus Vocational Training Center (BBW).
We at Gammel Engineering were also there to celebrate this important milestone together with everyone involved in the project.
Nine months after the groundbreaking, the shell of the building is now complete, and the construction project is proceeding according to plan.
The new building will create 62 additional spots for children of nursery and kindergarten age.
The new facilities are specifically designed to meet the children’s needs and also offer more space for individualized and therapeutic programs.
The move to the new childcare center is scheduled for the summer of 2027.

Today we celebrated a special anniversary: Florian Prantl has been with Gammel Engineering for 20 years. Over these two decades, technologies have changed, projects have evolved, and teams have been reorganized. One thing has remained constant: Florian Prantl is a reliable member of the Gammel Engineering team.
In 2026, Gammel Engineering was once again ready to head to the Gillamoos! Together with our partners, we kicked off the “fifth season” in Abensberg on Friday, as is our tradition.
