On Saturday, September 26, we were out and about again with our colleagues and their families.
It was all about shared experiences, exciting insights, and spending the day together.
Our outing began with a snack at the Hofcafé Untergünzl.
Afterward, we made our way to the geothermal site near the Waldbühne Halsbach, where we followed the trail of our “Burghausen District Heating” project.
There, a deep borehole was drilled for the extraction of geothermal energy. The thermal water extracted there is hotter than 107 °C and is intended to supply municipalities and commercial businesses in the region with environmentally friendly heat in the future. It was particularly exciting and interesting for our employees to experience the project firsthand on site.
Afterward, we continued on to the Old Town.
During a walk that included a short guided tour of the city, the focus was on the stories of salt merchants, artisans, and the city’s civic pride.
During the subsequent tour of the castle, we delved into the history of the dukes and knights.
We rounded out the day with dinner together at the Burg Café.

We are very, very grateful for this and look forward to experiencing days like these together with our colleagues and families.

Through the Gammel Family Social Fund, we aim to provide targeted assistance where support is urgently needed. The fund is made up of the proceeds from our internal Christmas party, where an auction is held among our employees every year. During our regular staff meetings, we then work together to gather suggestions for potential recipients—this way, we decide as a team where the donations will go.
