On his tour of Bavarian flagship companies, Martin Zeil, Bavarian Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology and Deputy Minister President, also stopped off at Gammel Engineering GmbH.
The FDP Minister of State, who is particularly interested in SMEs, showed great interest in the 50-man company Gammel Engineering and asked many interesting questions about the company's own innovation, the Kombi Power System.
The Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) and the Combined Heat and Power Act (KWKG) were also the subject of lively discussion. For the company, which has implemented more than 250 biomass projects, the current discussion about the legal framework is both a blessing and a curse: many investors and customers are currently unsettled as there are no clear regulations for the future. This is causing them to shy away from relevant modernization investments. The Minister of State promised that the EEG would be reformed after the election and adapted to current conditions.
